After spending months refusing to answer whether or not he has received a COVID vaccine while continuing to offer unsupported criticisms of it on his nightly Fox News series, Tucker Carlson finally offered a definitive statement on his vaccination status.
“I skipped the first three,” Carlson said at a religious event in San Diego when asked about the latest COVID booster shot. “I’m not getting that one either.”
Carlson has gotten a lot of mileage out of railing against health requirements, mask mandates and the push for vaccinations among the American populace, thereby seemingly flouting the regulations in his own workplace.
Fox News requires employees to wear masks “in small, confined spaces with limited opportunities for social distancing and where there are multiple employees, including control rooms.” They also require once-a-week COVID testing for employees considered “essential.”
The company that produces Carlson’s nightly program also issued a mandate in December that anyone working in its New York headquarters had to have received at least one COVID shot by December 27..
That would seem to put Carlson at odds with the network that airs his opinions every night and would also seem to focus his pointed criticisms – calling anyone who enforced a vaccine mandate a “tyrant” back in September – squarely at his own bosses.
Fox News has yet to comment on the issue.
