The Wolf administration is increasing capacity limits for both indoor and outdoor events ahead of lifting all COVID mitigation restrictions in Pennsylvania.
Beginning on Monday, May 17 gathering limits will be raised to 50% for indoor events and 75% for outdoor events.
“As more Pennsylvania adults get vaccinated and guidance from the CDC evolves, we can continue to move forward with the commonwealth’s reopening efforts,” said Governor Wolf. “We recognize the significant strain businesses have faced during COVID-19 mitigation efforts. Throughout the last year and half, we have seen businesses continue to put the safety of their patrons first and I believe they will continue to do so even with this capacity increase.”
Municipalities, schools, restaurants and other venues can still keep or implement their own stricter capacity limits.
Earlier this month, the administration announced the end of current COVID restrictions on May 31 with the lone exception being the continued wearing of masks until 70% of adult Pennsylvanians are fully vaccinated.
