Pennsylvania to receive larger COVID-19 vaccine shipment this week

Pennsylvania is getting a larger shipment of COVID-19 vaccines this week.

In a PA House Democratic Police Committee hearing Monday, the State Health Department's Keara Klinepeter says this week's shipment to the state from the Federal government has about 10,000 additional first doses than last week.

"Our current allocation last week was 166,375 doses. This week, our allocation is 175,175 first doses," said Klinepeter.

The committee says Monday afternoon's hearing is to discuss vaccine distribution and how the state can better support the rollout.
