
With the WPIAL and Pittsburgh City League basketball seasons now in the books, it’s time to vote on the winners for the prestigious KDKA Radio Super 7 Basketball Award winners.
The KDKA Radio staff has selected three finalists from each WPIAL Classification, as well as the Pittsburgh City League.
Up next, fans can vote on who they think should take home the awards in 2023.

Below are the finalists, with a description of their tremendous seasons.
Boys 6A
Dante DePante, Central Catholic - Division I prospect who led Central to WPIAL 6A title while scoring over 17 points per game.
Braylon Littlejohn, Butler - Scored over 21 points per game, taking Golden Tornado to the 6A postseason.
Jonathan Anderson, New Castle - Paced the Red Hurricane with over 17 points per game, reaching WPIAL final.
Boys 5A
Royce Parham, North Hills - 3-star recruit who scored over 29 points per game in 20-win season.
Daemar Kelly, Penn Hills - Do-it-all Quinnipiac commit who led the Indians to WPIAL 5A title while averaging over 16 points per game.
Jack Dunbar, Peters Township - Physical forward who scored 20 points per game in run to Championship Game appearance.
Boys 4A
Brandin Cummings, Lincoln Park - Pitt recruit who scored 24 points per game in WPIAL and PIAA title run.
Meleek Thomas, Lincoln Park - Top 10 sophomore recruit in nation who scored over 23 points per game, taking WPIAL and PIAA Championships.
Rodney Gallagher, Laurel Highlands - WVU football commit who dropped in over 21 points per game, reaching WPIAL semifinals and PIAA quarterfinals.
Boys 3A
Mahkai Valentine, Steel Valley - The WPIAL’s second-leading scorer, who averaged 36.6 points and scored 63 in one game.
Connor Spratt, Seton LaSalle - Played through injury to score over 25 points per game as Rebels made PIAA playoffs.
Bryce Robson, Deer Lakes - Averaged over 18 points per game and Lancers won WPIAL gold and PIAA silver.
Boys 2A
Shea Champine, Bishop Canevin - Finished fourth in WPIAL with over 30 points per game, leading the Crusaders to 22 wins.
DJ Walker, Aliquippa - WPIAL Champ and PIAA runner-up who guided the Quips to 24 wins.
Owen Norman, Fort Cherry - Scored over 24 points per game as the Rangers posted 20 wins on the year.
Boys 1A
Alier Maluk, Imani Christian - Top 25 national recruit as a 6-10 sophomore who claimed WPIAL and PIAA titles this winter.
Vinnie Cugini, Aquinas Academy - UPJ recruit who broke the WPIAL’s all-time scoring record while posting over 43 points per game.
Matt Stanley, Union - Helped the Scotties to 25 wins, the WPIAL title game and PIAA semifinals while averaging over 17 points per game.
Boys City League
Titus Gillett, Brashear - The City League’s leading scorer at over 21 points per game.
Torrien Perkins, Obama Academy - Scored around 17 points per game as the Eagles reached the City League title game.
Major Rainey, Allderdice - Helped the Dragons to a City League title while scoring over 11 points per game and leading the team in rebounding.
Girls 6A
Jasmine Timmerson, North Allegheny - Pitt recruit who scored over 17 points per game, including 30 in WPIAL title game win.
Rylee Kalocay, Upper St. Clair - Division I recruit who scored nearly 20 points per game, reaching 6A Championship.
Gemma Walker, Peters Township - Averaged over 20 points per game as the Indians reached the WPIAL Quarterfinals.
Girls 5A
Maddie Webber, South Fayette - Villanova recruit who led South Fayette with over 17 points per game during WPIAL championship and PIAA runner-up campaign.
Emma Paul, Armstrong - Took the Riverhawks to 19 wins by scoring over 17 points per game.
Alexa Washington, Oakland Catholic - Scored over 16 points per game for the Eagles, which made the WPIAL Championship and PIAA semifinals.
Girls 4A
Alayna Rocco, North Catholic - Harvard recruit who scored 17 points per game, as the Trojanettes took home a a record 22nd title.
Dacia Lewandowski, North Catholic - Despite missing time with injury, the Akron recruit still played a major role in North Catholic’s 25-win season.
Alena Fusetti, Blackhawk - Scored over 17 points per game, as the Cougars reached the WPIAL and PIAA title games.
Girls 3A
Mairan Haggerty, Neshannock - Finished fourth in the WPIAL with 22.4 points per game as the Lancers reached the WPIAL semifinals.
Tiffany Zelmore, Mount Pleasant - The WPIAL’s second-leading scorer with 29 points per game.
Maggie Spell, Shady Side Academy - Broke onto WPIAL scene as freshman, scoring over 20 points per game in run to WPIAL semifinals and PIAA quarterfinals.
Class 2A
Iyanna Wade, Clairton - The WPIAL’s top girls basketball scorer, Wade put up 33.3 points per game.
Shaye Bailey, Freedom - Despite missing the playoffs with injury, Bailey had a strong year with 21.7 points and 4.8 steals per game.
Emilee Fedrizzi, Shenango - WPIAL Champ who scored 15 points per game, including 13 points and five assists in title game.
Class 1A
Kelly Cleaver, Union - Scored over 15 points per game, including a 14-point, 9-rebound, 6-assist effort in the WPIAL title game win.
Julie Spinelli, St. Joseph - Averaged over 19 points per game during 20-win season.
Kylie Fruehstorfer, Union - Came alive during WPIAL postseason run, including a 20-point performance in the 1A Championship victory.
Girls City League
Bailey White, Allderdice - Led the City League in scoring at nearly 19 points per game as the Dragons reached the District 8 title game.
Unique Page, Perry - Averaged over 18 points per game, the second-best mark in the City League.
Taylor Phillips, Obama Academy - Led Eagles to a City League Championship by scoring nearly 16 points per game.
