JUPITER, Fla. (KMOX) - It took all spring, but we've finally seen the moment St. Louis Cardinals have been patiently waiting for. New superstar third baseman Nolan Arenado has hit a home run!

But fittingly, Cardinals broadcast Mike Shannon – who's in his 50th and final year in the booth – made the call on KMOX:
It came in the bottom of the first inning with the bases empty off New York Mets pitcher Taijuan Walker. It was the sixth pitch of the at bat and travled an estimated 411 feet to left. Not bad for a slider that was diving out of the zone too:
