CLAYTON, Mo. (KMOX) — More COVID-19 restrictions could be coming to St. Louis County "in the next 1 to 2 weeks."

St. Louis County Executive Sam Page made that warning at his Monday morning COVID-19 briefing.

Page didn't say exactly what those restrictions would be. One thing he's asking residents to do:

"Voluntarily stay at home as much as possible," Page stated. "That means work from home when possible."

Page understands people have "COVID Fatigue" but blasted the idea of ignoring restrictions so herd immunity can be achieved.

"Herd immunity is six or nine months away. Other than that, herd immunity is a myth. It's an excuse to not do the right thing. It's not reality...it's a political argument."

Another incident fueling Page's threat of more restrictions was a Halloween party held at the home of a DeSmet High School student. Page says the St. Louis County Health Department has learned 5 students tested positive, 2 others with symptoms awaiting results, and up to 200 students at the party.

Page says the health department will be contacting Cor Jesu and Notre Dame schools to track down other students that were at the party.

age warns that, even with the positive Pfizer vaccine news, it'll take months before things can return to normal.
