ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - There's a new rule in St. Louis County for this year's election and a new tool that are both expected to make voting easier and faster.

If you're registered to vote in St. Louis County you can vote at any polling place in the county.

And there's a handy new map that not only shows where the locations are nearest to you, but also how many people are currently in line.

Just go to the "Nearby Polling Places" tab in the top left corner of the map and search by your zip code or municipality. Then click on the green ballot icons to bring up the polling place's address and number of people currently waiting in line.

For example, at 8:51 a.m. the polling place at Ballwin Commons had 210 people in line, but there were other polling places in the area with lines less than half that long which you could go to.
