Chris is host of the KNX Evening News from 7 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday.
Chris is the former co-host of "KNX In Depth," "Ask The Mayor," and "KNX On Your Corner," as well as numerous special programs on subjects ranging from California's drought, to aviation safety, to gender reassignment.
He was the first reporter at the scene of the deadly Metrolink train crash in Chatsworth, the second most deadly train crash in U-S history, and was with Diane Thompson at the anchor desk on June 25th, 2009 leading team coverage of the death of pop star Michael Jackson.
Chris was also live on the air at KNX when Southern California was rocked by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake, describing in real-time how the studio shook and equipment swayed back and forth. Within seconds the phone lines lit up as listeners across the southland turned to the most reliable source for breaking news, KNX.
Prior to joining KNX, Chris was an anchor/reporter at all-news radio station KFWB and a reporter on CBS-2 and KCAL-9 Television. He came to Southern California from Southwest Florida where he was the primary weeknight news anchor on WFTX TV.
Chris' career began north of the border as a television anchor for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and its cable news channel CBC News Network, as well as CTV in Montreal and for several years as a primary anchor on the Canadian sports network TSN.
An award winning journalist, Chris has won several Golden Mike Awards and Los Angeles Press Club Journalism Awards. He was part of the KNX news team that garnered an Edward R. Murrow Award and Associated Press Award for coverage of the Station Fire, the largest fire in Los Angeles County history.
Over the years, Chris has worked closely with several charities including Special Olympics, Juvenile Diabetes and The Missing Children’s Network. He’s served on the Board of Directors of the Starlight Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Florida.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba "Go Jets and Blue Bombers," Chris lives in the Hollywood Hills and now cheers on the Kings, Ducks, Clippers and Chargers. While he loves traveling, he's so happy to call sunny Southern California home.
