Emily Valdez

Emily Valdez is a true Angeleno who sometimes finds it weird to be reporting for a station she grew up listening to. She graduated from Cal State Northridge with a degree in broadcast journalism. Emily has reported and anchored for TV stations in San Diego, Cleveland, Washington, D.C. and Bakersfield. She joined KNX in 2019. Emily is also a science nerd and has a master's degree in biology. She has won two regional Emmy Awards for her TV news reporting and a Gracie Award for her reporting at KNX.
