Heather Jordan is the host and producer of KNX's long-running "Hero of the Week" feature. She also works for KNX News as an anchor, reporter and morning show writer.
Heather came to KNX after a short stint as the afternoon news anchor for KFI in Los Angeles, in 2016. Before that, Heather was a news anchor in Orlando, Florida at WDBO and in Des Moines, Iowa at WHO.
Some of the biggest stories Heather has covered include the two-day event in 2018 involving the deadly Borderline Bar and Grill shooting in Thousand Oaks, and the next-day eruption of the Woolsey Fire in nearby Malibu. Heather was also live on-scene covering the Pulse Nightclub massacre in Orlando, in 2016.
Sports are big in Heather's world, as well. Breaking the barriers, Heather is one of only a few female public address announcers in the nation for college and professional sports. You can currently hear her voice over the PA system at stadiums and arenas around Southern California, with the Angel City Football Club, UCLA Bruins, USC Trojans, AU Pro Sports/AUX and more.
Heather's experience also includes television news, working for CBS at Dallas-Fort Worth's KTVT, Miami's WFOR and Chicago's WBBM.
Before jumping into the news industry, Heather was a radio personality and show host for a range of Top 40 and Urban stations around the nation.
Heather has been recognized for her work on and off air, including with the Golden Mic Awards, the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association, and regional Florida, Iowa and Missouri broadcasting associations.
Away from work, Heather loves to travel, paint, cycle and play volleyball. She's also very close with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
