Two people were killed after their car crashed into a Los Angeles County fire truck in West Rancho Dominguez Tuesday morning. Authorities believe the car may have been involved in a street race.
It happened at the corner of Avalon Boulevard and Compton Boulevard around 12:30 a.m.
The woman and man inside the car were pronounced dead at the scene. Four firefighters were injured and taken to Harbor UCLA.
At the time of the crash, the fire truck was on the way to a collision, CHP Officer Luis Murillo told KNX News’ Jon Baird.
The collision remains under investigation.
