CULVER CITY (CNS) - Police sought the public's help Tuesday to find two people who assaulted and robbed an 80-year-old woman in the parking lot of a Culver City bank.

The attack occurred around 10:30 a.m. Monday in the parking lot of First Citizens Bank in the 10700 block of Jefferson Boulevard, according to the Culver City Police Department.

Police said a woman reported that a female suspect attempted to distract her as she entered her vehicle, then a male suspect struck the victim several times in the face and took her purse. Both suspects fled the scene in a newer-model gray SUV, police said.

The victim was treated on the scene by Culver City Fire Department paramedics for injuries of unknown severity.

Detectives described the female suspect has having curly dark brown hair and wearing neutral-colored clothing. The male suspect was clean shaven and also had curly dark brown hair, police said.

According to police, the two suspects made off with an orange Michael Kors purse, a Motorola cell phone, prescription reading glasses, driving glasses, multiple credit cards, $600 in cash, and a California driver's license.
