LOS ANGELES (CNS)- A Silver Alert was issued for an 88-year-old man who was last seen near the Pico-Union neighborhood, authorities said Friday.
Israel Villaescusa was last seen at around 4:30 p.m. Thursday near West 14th Street and West Pico Boulevard, said the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Villaescusa is Latino, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs 155 pounds, has gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black sweater, black pants and black shoes and authorities say he is believed to be on foot.
Anyone who sees Villaescusa or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the suspicious or disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
