LOS ANGELES (JACK) — Online shopping has helped shut down a number of brick-and-mortar stores over the years, and the biggest culprit is Amazon. The online marketplace has grown into one of the world’s biggest companies, offering up just about any product a shopper can think of. However, now Amazon is turning to a business they helped destroy as their next venture, announcing plans to open a brick-and-mortar clothing store later this year in Los Angeles.

Amazon has completely changed the way e-commerce is done, but the one complaint people always have when ordering clothes online is items not fitting when they finally arrive. While there have been many attempts to solve this issue through technology, Amazon has finally come to the realization that nothing beats trying the clothes on first in person. That’s why the company announced on Thursday plans to open “Amazon Style” by the end of this year.

According to CNN, after the first Amazon Style location opens in L.A., the company plans to open more across the country. “Customers enjoy doing a mix of online and in-store shopping. And that's no different in fashion. There's so many great brands and designers, but discovering them isn't always easy," said Simoina Vasen, the managing director of Amazon Style. Maybe this move will inspire Netflix to open their own video rental store.
