At least 1 dead, 3 injured following stabbing attacks in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. (KNX) – A man was arrested in connection to multiple stabbing attacks in Long Beach that left one woman dead and three injured, according to police.

The first stabbing happened in the 1100 block of Atlantic Avenue around 5:35 a.m., Brandon Fahey of the Long Beach Police Department told City News Service.

Fahey said the victim, a woman, died in the hospital.

At 6:25 a.m., police responded to the 700 block of Olive Avenue where a man with stab wounds was found. He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Then, just after 7:00 a.m., officers responded to a stabbing in the area of Ocean Boulevard and Fourth Place. Two men had stab wounds. One was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries while the other was treated at the scene.

Fahey told CNS that a man with a knife was arrested at the scene at Ocean Boulevard and Fourth Place. Police believe he is homeless.

Police are working to see if the stabbings are connected.
