
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (KNX) – Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run in Thousand Oaks that left a man dead Tuesday night.

Around 8:40 p.m., a deputy stopped for a man who appeared to have collapsed on the crosswalk on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
It was later determined the man was with a group who were waiting to cross the boulevard and that when he went to cross the roadway, a white sedan hit him.
One witness told authorities the car stopped for a moment before driving off.
The man was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The Thousand Oaks Traffic Bureau investigating the collision.
