Body pulled from Dominguez Channel in Carson

CARSON, Calif. (KNX) — A body was found Tuesday in the Dominguez Channel in Carson. The channel is a nearly 16-mile perennial river in southern Los Angeles County used for flood control.

Firefighters reported to the area of 213th Street and Avalon Boulevard at around 10 a.m., according to the L.A. County Fire Department.

The fire department did not immediately disclosed the identity of the body, nor whether a cause of death had been determined.
