LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Runners are ready and street closures are in the works for the 2022 Los Angeles Marathon this weekend. And as race day approaches — you'll want to know which roads and highways are affected.
This year the course impacts more than 30 streets for several hours throughout the day, with additional impacts to the north and southbound 110, north and southbound 101 and street closures in Los Angeles, Hollywood and West Hollywood.

An estimated 24,000 runners will take to the streets on the "Stadium of the Stars" course, according to worldsmarathons.com, noting that this year the journey begins at Dodger Stadium and ends in Century City.
"The course will follow its traditional route until Brentwood, where runners double back on San Vicente, Sepulveda and Santa Monica Blvd before finishing at Avenue of the Stars," organizers said.
"This exciting change allows for a more vibrant and interactive finish experience than previously possible. It will provide the opportunity for much greater spectator participation for family and friends with enhanced post-race activities including the Finish Festival with concerts and sponsor activations."
