Since his arrest, deputies said they have connected the 27-year-old Bell Gardens, Calif. resident to more than 20 other retail thefts across the region. However, they did not say at which stores those thefts happened.

Diaz was charged with grand theft and booked in the West Valley Detention Center on Thursday. He remains there on $25,000 bail and is expected to appear in court on Monday, according to San Bernardino County Court records.

Anyone with information regarding Diaz is asked to contact Detective Ryan Girard of the Chino Hills Station (909) 364-2000.
