SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KNX) — The eastbound 210 Freeway in San Bernardino and neighboring Highland was scheduled to close nightly this week through Friday. Pavement rehabilitation on existing eastbound roadway prompted the closure, San Bernardino County transportation officials said.

The efforts are part of a $200 million widening and interchange project expected to be completed by summer 2021.

Closures will last from 11:59 p.m. until 5 a.m. at either Fifth Street in Highland or Del Rosa Avenue in San Bernardinio. Both locations will not be closed simultaneously, officials said.

Connectors in the area are also scheduled for nightly closure this week, including those between the 210 and the 10 Freeway in Redlands, and between the southbound Highway 330 and the east bound 210 in San Bernardino. Connector closures will remain in place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Sunday morning.
