LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Firefighters today knocked down a blaze that spread from an outbuilding to a two-story guest house in the Westlake community of Los Angeles, authorities said today.
The 54 firefighters dispatched at 6:24 a.m. to the 800 block of South Bonnie Brae Street split their efforts to extinguish both structures in 24 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

"Firefighters found one occupant in the living quarters and evacuated him," said Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department. "As a precaution, firefighters-paramedics did a full assessment and found him to be in good condition, with no need for treatment or transport."
No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was under investigation.
