LOS ANGELES (KNX) - Fred Savage has denied allegations of misconduct made against him by crew members on the set of the “The Wonder Years” reboot.
His statement was included in an article by The Hollywood Reporter, which featured anecdotes from six female crewmembers on the show regarding Savage’s behavior on set.

“Since I was 6 years old, I have worked on hundreds of sets with thousands of people, and have always strived to contribute to an inclusive, safe and supportive work environment,” the 46-year-old said.
“It is devastating to learn that there are co-workers who feel I have fallen short of these goals. While there are some incidents being reported that absolutely did not and could not have happened, any one person who feels hurt or offended by my actions is one person too many. I will work to address and change any behavior that has negatively affected anyone, as nothing in this world is more important to me than being a supportive co-worker, friend, husband, father and person.”
In May, Savage, who starred in the original series, was fired from his position as director and executive producer of the ABC reboot following an investigation into the allegations.
“Recently, we were made aware of allegations of inappropriate conduct by Fred Savage, and as is policy, an investigation was launched,” a 20th Television spokesperson told Vulture. “Upon its completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment as an executive producer and director of The Wonder Years.”
In the article by The Hollywood Reporter, it was also revealed several women reported Savage to human resources at Disney when they grew concerned about Savage’s relationtionship with a young crew member.
Savage has been hit with allegations in the past, including during his time on the original Wonder Years set. The show’s costume designer sued Savage and his co-star, Jason Hervey in 1993, alleging the two would physically and verbally harass her.
