LOS ANGELES (KNX) — A French bulldog has been returned to his owners after he was taken during an armed robbery in Downtown Los Angeles Monday morning.
The owners, Isaiah Ramos and Charlee Johnston, were walking the dog, Meech, in the area of Flower Street and Olympic Boulevard shortly before noon when they were approached by two men.

Ramos told KTLA he heard a car door open behind him, and turned to see the two suspected assailants, armed with semi-automatic handguns.
“When I turned around, I see a guy coming from the back seat and a guy coming from the passenger, and I see that they both had guns,” he said.
The men allegedly grabbed the dog and fled into a black Infiniti sedan, heading south on Flower street, according to L.A. police.
Ramos snapped photos of the suspects’ license plate, then called police.
He later posted photos of the getaway car on social media, along with photos of the alleged robbers and Meech.
“It spread like wildfire. Everyone was being very helpful sharing every post,” Ramos said.
On Tuesday, a woman called Ramos saying she found their dog wandering near Slauson Avenue in South L.A. Meech’s identity was confirmed through a microchip implant, and he was reunited with Ramos and Johnston.
Meech’s dognapping is the latest in a string of robberies targeting the owners of French bulldogs. The breed is highly prized, often fetching up to $5,000 in resale.
No arrests have been reported in connection with the robbery, according to LAPD.
