
LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Los Angeles' Hollywood High School was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning "due to [an] armed barricade suspect" in the vicinity, according to the L.A. Police Department.
The suspect was reported to be barricaded in a tent in the area of Selma Avenue and McCadden Place.
Larchmont Charter School on the campus of Selma Elementary School has also been placed on lockdown, according to L.A. police.
As of 9:35 a.m. on Wednesday L.A. police reported lockdowns had been lifted at both Hollywood High School and Larchmont Charter.
According to police, the suspect — a man — was taken into custody at around 10 a.m. Reports suggest he may have been in possession of a replica firearm. No injuries were reported.
