HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KNX) — Beloved Hollywood restaurant Musso & Frank Grill is closing up shop for the holiday season because "it seems like the responsible, right thing to do,” according to Mark Echeverria, part of the fourth generation of owners/operators of the restaurant.
The business decided to close through the holidays as cases of COVID-19 surge, announcing the news with customers in a statement shared on Facebook Thursday, citing a “staggeringly high increase” of COVID cases and the Omicron variant in L.A. County.

“The owners and management of The Musso & Frank Grill fell that, in the best interest of safety for our guests, the community and our team, the responsible course of action for us right now is to pause all operations,” the restaurant said.
Effective Thursday, the restaurant is closed and will remain closed until after the holidays.
“We truly hope everyone has a safe holiday season and we look forward to seeing you all in just a few short weeks!” the restaurant continued, thanking the community for its continued support over it’s 102 years in business.
In response to supportive Facebook comments, the restaurant wrote “We sure are hoping for 2022 to be a healthy one for sure!”
