
LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Police sought the public's help Thursday to find a driver and passenger involved in a hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles that killed a bicyclist in April.
Salvador Gonzalez Arechiga, 68, was riding eastbound on Adams Boulevard at around 3:35 a.m. April 13 when the driver of a possibly 2007-2010 dark-colored Chevrolet Tahoe also traveling eastbound on Adams Boulevard from Trinity Street rear-ended Arechiga and kept going, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and took Arechiga to a hospital, where he later died.
The hit-and-run driver was described as a 5-foot-8 man between 30-50 years old, weighing approximately 200 pounds. At the time of the crash, he wearing a do-rag, a dark-colored jacket, blue pants with a white pattern on the left leg, a white Dodger "L.A." T-shirt, and white tennis shoes, police said. The passenger was described as a 6-foot man weighing approximately 250 to 300 pounds, wearing a white hoodie with an unrecognizable dark logo and dark- colored pants.

The city has a standing reward offer of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run.
