SAN FERNANDO VALLEY — Police are sharing images of the "Two o'clock Rock" burglar, wanted for targeting more than 60 businesses across the San Fernando Valley in the last year.

"The suspect targets businesses during early morning hours, generally between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m," LAPD said in a statement.

"He first canvasses a location, then stages rocks in front of the businesses he is about to burglarize," police said, saying that he then grabs one of the rocks and uses it to smash the glass of the business' door or window to gain entry.

In many cases he's stolen the cash from the register, but in others he simply steal s the whole thing, police said.

The suspect is described as a a man with around 5 foot 10, 150-180 pounds who typically wears a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans and dark shoes as he commits the crimes.

Several times the suspect has been spotted on a bicycle or driving and early 2000s four-door sedan — either a Nissan Maxima or Sentra, police said.
