
A Los Angeles Sheriff’s deputy is behind bars, accused of molesting a 16-year-old girl in Rancho Cucamonga.
Antonio Heriberto Galindo, was arrested Saturday, Aug. 28 on charges of that include contact of a minor with intent for sex and sexual penetration against the victim's will by force. Investigations into the Rancho Cucamonga resident began the day before, according to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators from the Crimes Against Children Unit were looking into Galindo’s alleged assault of a teen when they learned that the 41-year-old was an LASD deputy and a girls’ softball coach.
Galindo was arrested and booked into San Bernardino’s central detention center and is being held on $100,000 bail.
Galindo has been relieved of his duties, according to KCAL 9, and his powers as a peace officer have been suspended.
Investigators believe he may have other victims and ask anyone who may have been victimized or who has information regarding the investigation to call the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division, Crimes Against Children Detail.
