Man arrested for stabbing roommate at sober living home in Garden Grove

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (KNX) - Garden Grove police have made an arrest in the stabbing of a 36-year-old man on Saturday morning.

Gustavo Pablo, Munguia, 33, was arrested for stabbing his roommate.

On Saturday after 10 a.m., police responded to 12800 of Safford Street where they found a 36-year-old man on the front lawn of the house with stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he underwent four-hour surgery. He’s still listed in critical condition.

Police said Munguia and the victim were roommates at a sober living home.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office found Munguia in Perris where he was driving in the area, according to CBS L.A.

Officials said Munguia was booked for attempted murder.
