The victim, who was identified by officials Tuesday as 35-year-old Erik Brown, was driving when another vehicle with two men inside drove up next to him and shot him, police told City News Service.

The shooting caused Brown to lose control of the red vehicle he was driving and he slammed into multiple vehicles parked on the street, according to Fox 11.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

The area was closed off Monday morning for homicide detectives to investigate.

There was no suspect description available, but police said they were looking for a gray sedan.
