LANCASTER (CNS) - A man was found mortally wounded this morning in front of a medical office building in Lancaster.
The shooting was reported about 2:15 a.m. at 17th Street West and Avenue J, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The victim, about 19 to 25 years old, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials said. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
"When deputies arrived they were informed by Antelope Valley Hospital security that the victim ... had been located on the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper torso," a sheriff's department said.
