CULVER CITY (CNS) — A man was killed Monday morning in a multiple-vehicle crash on an on-ramp to the 405 Freeway in Culver City.

The crash was reported 2:50 a.m. on the Jefferson Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound 405 Freeway, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig.

Witnesses told the CHP a big rig and two sedans were involved in the crash, according to CHP.

The man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene, Kravig said.

A SigAlert was issued at 4:12 a.m. shutting down the Jefferson Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound San Diego Freeway.

The ramp was reopened about 7 a.m., the CHP reported. Traffic on the southbound freeway itself was not impacted by the closure, Kravig said.
