MORENO VALLEY (CNS) - A Moreno Valley man suspected of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl was being held without bail Thursday.
Ruben Arguello was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside Wednesday on suspicion of lewd acts on a child, oral copulation of a minor, forced sexual penetration and child abuse.
According to Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Alfredo Medina, deputies received information regarding the alleged sexual abuse of a child at a residence within the city and initiated an investigation.
"The investigation revealed an assault occurred in Moreno Valley, and additional assaults took place out of the county," Medina said.
The findings culminated in an arrest warrant being obtained and served on the suspect at his house on Avenida De Loring, where he was taken into custody without incident Wednesday afternoon.
The girl's identity and the suspect's relationship to her were not disclosed.
