Tenants of an apartment complex in North Hollywood hope to speak with the stars of HGTV's The Flipping El Moussas to stop what they say is a concerted effort to speed up an eviction process set in motion by their now-jailed former landlord.

The building's previous owner, Arthur Aslanian, was found guilty of federal criminal charges in July for his involvement in a murder-for-hire case.
Now, the tenants of his Arts District complex are alleging Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa and their team at The Flipping El Moussas, have been working with Aslanian to move forwarded with eviction and renovation of the property.
The website NH138 provides background information on the project and says those associated are aware that the previous owner has been involved with serious legal matters, but they do not have any relationship with the seller.
A spokesperson for El Moussa said the process will be handled justly through L.A.'s Housing Department, and a relocation advisor will ensure all residents are relocated according to the law and treated respectfully and lawfully.
Despite these reassurances, tenants are saying that's not happening.
One resident told KNX News reporter Nataly Tavidian, "We reached out three times to Tarek and his team in the last three weeks" but were unsuccessful.
Another said, "We're in it until somebody offers us the right amount of money to go. I mean, there is an amount of money that would be perhaps a start to make up for everything we've gone through and is a proper price to pay to make this situation disappear, but nobody's offered it."
The tenants are asking that the HGTV stars Tarek and Heather Rae come to their homes and hear their stories.
