SANTA MONICA (KNX) - A pilot was temporarily trapped under their single-engine aircraft when it overturned Monday upon landing at the Santa Monica Airport.
LISTEN:
Fire crews tell KNX reporter Pete Demetriou that after getting about halfway down the runway, the small plane ended up on its wings, but were unclear how.
Officials said the pilot, who was the only person aboard, had already exited the aircraft by the time they arrived, and was uninjured.
The airport is closed and will remain closed until investigators can talk to the pilot and figure out what went wrong.
