Officers in the area heard shots fired at approximately 3:30 p.m. Responding to the scene, they found Galvin conscious but critically injured, according to The Los Angeles Times.

“There was some sort of argument between the suspect and the victim” prior to the shooting, said LAPD Officer Mike Lopez on Wednesday.

Galvin was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are continuing to search for the suspect shooter.
