LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Police are investigating a hit-and-run in Koreatown Saturday morning that left a 22-year-old man dead.
The man was riding an e-scooter when he collided with a blue Dodge Caravan at Western Avenue and Olympic Boulevard at 2:30 a.m. The collision caused the man to be ejected from the scooter and landed in the roadway, according to police.
It was then another car that was driving south hit the man and dragged him for about 60 feet.
The driver of the second car did not stop. The man was declared dead on the scene by emergency officials. He was later identified as Mario Ramos Morales, KTLA reported.
The driver of the Dodge Caravan stayed on the scene. It’s unclear if he was arrested, but police said alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the collision.
