
LONG BEACH (CNS) - Police were seeking the public's help Tuesday to find the person responsible for killing a man inside a Long Beach residence.
Homicide detectives were sent to the 1700 block of Magnolia Avenue at around 9:05 p.m. Monday after a report that a man was unresponsive inside a residence, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The man was discovered on the residence floor suffering from injuries to his upper body, police said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the man was assaulted inside the residence. Long Beach Fire Department paramedics arrived and determined the man was dead, police said.
His identity was withheld by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office pending notification of relatives.
There was no description of a suspect, and the motive for the fatal assault remains unclear.
