Possibly Armed Suspect Arrested After Standoff With Police In Reseda

RESEDA (CNS) - A suspect barricaded inside a Reseda residence for nearly seven hours today was taken into custody.

Officers were sent to the 6000 block of Lindley Avenue about 7:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The suspect was wanted in connection with a ``criminal threat'' investigation, police said.

The suspect refused to exit the residence, and a SWAT unit was called to the scene to assist. Nearby Reseda High School was placed on lockdown as a precaution, according to ABC7.

The LAPD announced about 2:15 p.m. that the suspect had been taken into custody, and streets in the area were reopening.

No further details were immediately available.
