LOS ANGELES (KNX) — The Los Angeles Rams just lost two starters for Monday night’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Tyler Higbee were placed on the COVID-19 reserve list, the team announced via Twitter.
A source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter Higbee had a positive test followed by two negative tests, but even if the test is a false positive, the earliest he could come off the list is Tuesday.
Adding Ramsey and Higbee to the reserve list brings the team’s total to five, as the Rams also placed running back Darrell Henderson, right tackle Rob Havenstein and cornerback Donte’ Deayon on the list over the weekend.
Players are placed on the list if they have either tested positive for COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who is infected with the virus.
Fans took to Twitter asking for officials to cancel the game considering the Rams are going up against the team with the best record in football.
The Rams also announced on Twitter that it would be activating linebacker Justin Hollins from the reserve/injured list for Monday’s game.
