
SANTA ANA (CNS) - A man who is missing part of his skull, is legally blind and suffers from schizophrenia and dementia was found safe in Huntington Beach Wednesday after disappearing following his release from the Orange County Jail.

Richard Robert Leyva, 57, went missing around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday after his release, according to Santa Ana police.
Police said he failed to contact his family after his release, but he was spotted around 7:50 p.m. Tuesday on surveillance video getting off an OCTA bus at the Newport Transportation Center in Newport Beach.

According to police, Leyva was found Wednesday in Huntington Beach and reunited with his family. No other details were released.
