The San Diego Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding two suspects in a hate crime incident.

Officials say at around 9:30 p.m. on September 12, a 27-year-old man and two friends were leaving the Church of Music Rave Festival when a black four-door sedan pulled up next to them and two men got out of the car. Authorities say one of the suspects yelled anti-LGBTQ sluts at the victim and beat the victim until he lost consciousness.

The victim was taken to the hospital and was treated for a broken orbital and a broken nose. None of the victim’s friends were hurt.

The suspects were last seen on Cesar Chavez Parkway. One suspect is described as “white male, early 20’s, slim but muscular, blonde shoulder length hair and wore shorts and no shirt.” The second suspect is described as “white male, early 20’s, slim, tall, wore an oversized blue shirt, shorts or light-colored pants, and had a blue baseball cap.”

Anyone with information is to call the San Diego Police Department's Central Division at 619-744-9500 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477.
