
HONOLULU (KNX) – A California man was found dead at a Hawaiian resort early Tuesday.
It happened at the Sheraton Waikiki around 4 a.m.

Investigators told Hawaii News Now that the man was attempting to climb from the balcony of his hotel room. He was reportedly trying to get to the balcony that was next to his, which is where his friend was staying.
Officials said it's unclear how many stories the man fell, but that his body was found on the pool deck.
The man was identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office as Arturo Espinoza Jr., 39, of Santee, California, according to KITV.
Police told the outlet Espinoza Jr.’s death is being investigated as an “unattended death.”
The Sheraton Waikiki has not issued a statement at this time.
