
Police are searching for a group of men who beat a security guard to death outside a nightclub in Hollywood.
It happened around 2 a.m. on July 30 outside the Dragon Fly Club on Santa Monica Boulevard. When officers with the Los Angeles Police Department arrived they found the 32-year-old man“lying on the street” unconscious and not breathing.
Police said further investigation revealed that between seven to 11 men in their 20s “confronted the victim and when the victim lost his footing and fell to the street, the suspects advanced and began kicking and stomping the victim.”
The suspects took off before officers arrived.
The security guard was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A friend of the victim told KCAL News he didn’t deserve this.
“He’s a dad of two girls,” the friend said. “He didn’t deserve none of this. A good dude. He always having fun, going out. Always wanna go out and do something.”
