LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Two teenage girls were robbed while walking to school Wednesday morning in Los Angeles’ Fairfax District and now police are looking for the four suspects who attacked them.
The robbery, which was caught on video by a nearby surveillance camera, was reported at 7:20 a.m. in the 7600 block of Melrose Avenue. The girls can be seen walking when two female suspects strike them and pull the girls to the ground by their hair.

Police said the suspects demanded the girls hand over their phones, then held them by their hair until they unlocked their phones.
“Fearing for their safety, the victims complied and allowed the suspects to take their cellphones,” police said.
The two suspects who attacked the girls proceeded to run into a waiting vehicle. Two other male suspects were caught on camera keeping a lookout.
The suspect vehicle was described as a black sedan with tinted windows.
Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to contact L.A. police Det. M. Flores at (213) 922-8217.
