WESTMINSTER, Calif. (KNX) — Westminster police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to kidnap two women in separate incidents Wednesday night.
Officers were called out around 6 p.m. Wednesday to the area of Hoover Street and Garden Grove Boulevard for a report of “unknown trouble” regarding a man chasing a female in the street, Westminster police Sgt. Alan Aoki said.

Responding officers made contact with two female victims, unrelated to each other, who both said a man attempted to kidnap them, according to Aoki.
One of the women told police the man grabbed her and put her in a vehicle, but she was able to open the door and escape.
The other woman told police she was able to run away from the suspect, Aoki said.
“They were shaken up, but fortunately they sustained no physical injuries,” Aoki said of the women.
Witnesses described the man to police as a Hispanic male with a mustache, between 30 and 50 years old, five-foot-ten to six feet in height, with a medium build.
The suspect vehicle was described as a white Chevy Suburban, possibly early 2000s make, with possible collision damage to the front end.
Detectives are checking for video surveillance in regard to the incident and encourage anyone who may know anything about the attempted kidnappings to call (714) 898-3315.
