Could Arclight Hollywood and the Cinerama Dome soon be open to movie-goers?
According to Eater Los Angeles, rumors of a return for Arclight began to swirl when a picture shared on Twitter showed Arclight Hollywood without boards on it.
While nothing has been confirmed, there has been a campaign on social media to save the theater since its closure was announced in April.
According to an update on the petition on change.org, Ben Steinberg writes that Arclight still owns its Hollywood location as well as the Cinerama Dome.
The rumor is that Decurion, the company that runs Arclight, and Christopher Forman, the owner, are working to reopen the Hollywood movie theater for December.
"The word on the street is that they are waiting to settle their losses and leases at their non-Hollywood locations. Arclight Sherman Oaks is now Regal, and Pacific Theaters at The Grove and Americana are now AMC," Steinberg wrote of the rumored reopenings.
Movie theaters in Los Angeles have been long awaiting a comeback since theaters closed at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially independent theaters in the area.
