Woman with cognitive conditions reported missing in Long Beach found

UPDATE: La Tran was found at around 3:42 p.m. Monday, the California Highway Patrol reported.

LONG BEACH (CNS) - Police sought the public's help Monday to find a missing 57-year-old, at-risk woman who suffers from mental and cognitive conditions.

La Tran was last seen Monday at around 6 a.m. in her room during a staff patient check at a living facility in the 3500 block of Cedar Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

A later check discovered Tran missing from her room, and that she left the facility,  headed in an unknown direction, police said.

Tran does not have a car, cell phone or any tracking device to assist with locating her.

Police described Tran as Asian, 5 feet tall, 124 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. It was unclear what Tran was wearing.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Tran was urged to contact the Long Beach Missing Persons Detail at 562-570-7246 or Police Dispatch at 562-435-6711. Tipsters who choose to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
