Disney Cruise Line announced it would require “all vaccine-eligible guests” – including children who are at least 5 or older – to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test. A negative test should be taken one to three days before sailing.

Children 4 years of age or younger must also be tested. Rapid antigen tests are not accepted for any sailors, the company said.

“As we set sail again, the health and safety of our Guests, Cast Members, and Crew Members is a top priority,” the cruise line said in a statement. “Our focus remains on operating our ships in a responsible way that continues to create magic for all on board.”

Disney said it enhanced its ships' cleaning protocols, harnessed innovative technology to promote physical distancing on board, and trained crewmembers on health and safety protocols.

All guests who are at least 2-years-old must also wear face coverings indoors while on the boat.

The new requirement officially begins Jan. 13, 2022.
