LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Nearly two weeks after a hit-and-run driver smashed into Sandra Martin on East 4th Street in Los Angeles, police still have no leads on who got out of his car, pulled her out of the way and drove off, leaving her in the street. And Martin said she's still looking for her dog "Little Man" who ran off after they were hit by the driver.

Thursday, the Los Angeles Police Department's Central Traffic Division shared additional surveillance footage showing the hit-and-run vehicle — a dark-colored, four-door Hyundai Genesis — followed by a Jeep Wrangler shortly after the crash. Now, they're asking for the driver of the Wrangler to come forward and share any details about what they know.

"The video [appears] to show that a newer model Jeep Wrangler appeared to be following the Genesis," the department said.

"The driver in the Wrangler appeared to be in position to see when Sandra Martin was struck by the Genesis. After the crash, the driver of the Wrangler also left the scene and drove southbound on Los Angeles Street from 4th Street."

Martin was hit just before 3 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, as the vehicle was driving in reverse, according to LAPD. The odd part, she told police, is that the driver actually got out of the car to pull her out from under it before taking off and leaving her in the street.

Since the crash 61-year-old Martin has been discharged from the hospital and is now at home recovering, police said, but she is still wholeheartedly asking the public’s help in finding and safely returning her long-haired mixed Chihuahua-Terrier, “Little Man.”

Anyone with information on the hit-and-run vehicle and driver or the whereabouts of the dog “Little Man” is asked to please contact Detective Juan Campos, Central Traffic Detectives, at (213) 833-3713. He can also be reached via email at 31480@lapd.online.
